An Arizona woman was killed when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger was struck by a tractor-trailer. Witness reported that the tractor trailer was changing lanes when it struck the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries.

One of the things that every driver of a tractor-trailer must be aware of before getting on the road is the location of the rig’s blind spots. The location of the blind spot weill vary from vehicle to vehicle, depending on the configuration of the tractor, the type of trailer, and the kind of load being moved.

Truck drivers need to be aware of the location of those blind spots and must take steps to assure that no one is in a blind spot before changing lanes.
