SpaghettiOs Recall

Comments Off

The Agriculture Department announced late Thursday that 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs with meatballs have been recalled. This is due to a cooker malfunction at a Texas plant that left the meat undercooked.

According to Campbell, officials are not sure exactly when the cooker malfunctioned, though they believe it happened recently. Thus, to be cautious, the company is recalling certain lots of the product manufactured since December 2008.

The three varieties subject to the recall are: SpaghettiOs with Meatballs, SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs, and SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars).

According to the USDA, there are no reports of illnesses associated with the product.

Any questions should be directed to the Campbell’s Hotline at (866) 495-3774.
